Roberto Kobo Kids Martial Arts Instructor

Our Team

Roberto “Beto” Kobo has been training under Alexander Crispim since he began his Jiu-Jitsu journey and earned his Black Belt from Crispim. Beto has been teaching at Crispim BJJ since the beginning of 2010 and teaches Kids Jiu-Jitsu classes and adult Jiu-Jitsu classes. Beto is an incredible teacher who brings a lot of experience, technical abilities and skill to his classes. And in late 2018, Beto also became one of the owners of the San Ramon academy.

When asked why Beto trains, he stated, “I train BJJ because I fell in love with the Martial Art from the very beginning, so much so that I told Crispim I wanted to become a BJJ instructor when I was a Blue Belt. Also, I train because it makes me strive to be a better person, and has helped me learn a lot about myself and others.

I teach because I want to pass the passion that I have for BJJ onto others, and to pass on the knowledge that Crispim and BJJ have given to me. On top of that, I love working with the kids and helping them become great Jiu-Jitsu practitioners and helping them grow as people.”
